Maria Sharapova fans and lovers should be very pleased as she recently surfed into the semi-finals of the current Wimbledon competition as she destroys Dominika Cibulkova with 6-1, 6-1 score, ending the game in only 60 minutes. It should be noted that Sharapova was able to make history when she captured the championship seven years ago in 2004.

Sharapova clearly took Cibulkova to the limit, turning the whole game into a physical slugfest of power, intensity, and hard-hitting exchange. Cibulkova, who won the last two meetings with Sharapova, was humbled and the 24 year old Russian was proved to be too much for the Slovakian hitter.

The power hits came all throughout the game as Cibulkova was left chasing every ball desperately as Sharapova keeps hitting brace of aces.

There are still a lot of games left for the tournament and you might want to watch Wimbledon live to see what is happening. The semi-final games are yet to start and there is still plenty of action to see. You can also catch it live via streaming media so there is no excuse to not see the games.

Roger Federer is scheduled to go against Jo Wilfred Tsonga and it should also be a great game between the number 3 and 12 seeds.

Roger Federer continued where he left off last year in London by winning the competition this week in the first ATP event of the season in Doha. Federer was able to get past defending champion Nikolay Davydenko 6-3, 6-4 at the Qatar Open final on Saturday. It is a record-setting third tournament title in Doha and his 67th-career ATP title. Federer, a 16-time Grand Slam champion, did not drop one set the entire week, easily ousting the third-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and the fourth-seeded Davydenko. “I have had a good week. I really appreciate the support I get here. I have had good preparation. I can’t believe that I am on the board already this year,” Federer said. Federer’s serve, which was exceptional throughout the week, stayed remarkable in the final on Saturday. Federer, who is currently second ranked, won 79% of his first serve points and 76% of his second serve points against the hard-hitting Russian. Additionally, Federer’s ground strokes and return game were just as effective. The Swiss player flustered off 25 wins to only 15 unforced errors, while Davydenko generated only 17 wins to 18 unforced errors. Federer is currently the Australian Open defending champion, and if he continues his streak, it might be a shoo-in win for him, too.
